Besides, the message is probably encrypted-to-self. So there is one
recipient, not two as you are counting. And yes, it is smarter to put
your private info on the inside of your message. I know I would.

So what is this? You are here to promote S/MIME over OpenPGP? Sure, I
can generate a key with my name on it with any KeyID I choose (except
for RSA v3 which has some limitations to do with multiplying two
primes). But I fail to see how everything suddenly ~becomes clearer~
Anyways, congrats on your head becoming clearer.
It sure seems like a BIG mess inside there.
