| Does anyone know of a list that one can put his name on to stop email. This
would be similar to the "no call list" for phones, but for emails. Each
night I get perhaps 50 to 200 emails wanting to sell something.

won't work.
as the people that own the list could sell it a few months later
get a new address, => yahoo has a large spam blocker for free.
Get a block of addresses, like 5 in a row, hand the names out carefully,
like John1200, John1201, etc

http://www.cauce.org/faq/#spammed
Seems you could also do some address munging as this newsgroup gets
harvested by spambots
SPAM is like quicksand. The more you fight it the quicker you will drown.
