I have not managed to find the PGP6 program to extract the .dlls needed in
order
to run Omnimix, but I did find some .dlls with the same name inside a PGP
developers kit named "PGPsdk_1_7_2_Win32" (free download).

I hope they are the same ones,if they are the download link is here:

ftp://ftp.pgpi.org/pub/pgp/sdk/PGPsdk_1_7_2_Win32.zip

I wonder if a direct download link to the .dlls on the website would be
legal?

If it isn't then telling the people to get them to make the program work
probably doesn't seem to be legal neither as the software is piggybacking
on PGP for it to work.

Not that I work for PGP corporation or anything, just a thought, but unless
Omnimix gets a million users it is unlikely they would sue.

P.S: If the .dlls inside the developers kit aren't the ones needed then
posting a direct
link in this group to PGP6 would be useful, if PGP does not like it, they
can always
subpoena the remailer used to post it.

ftp://ftp.zedz.net/pub/crypto/pgp/pgp60/ for all your PGP needs :-)

I recommend the ckt builds by Imad.

From the 'Network Associates PGPsdk End User License Agreement (For
Non-Commercial Use and Limited Commercial Use and Distribution)' of
the SDK version above:

Network Associates is permitting the (a) the non-commercial use of
this Toolkit Software, (b) the non-commercial use of the Toolkit
Software and the distribution of a separate non-commercial software
application (Non-Commercial Software) into which the Toolkit Software
is incorporated, within the scope of the following license, and (c)
the limited commercial use and distribution of a separate commercial
software application (Commercial Software) into which the Toolkit
Software is incorporated, within the scope of the following license,
provided that You agree to pay ...

Seems equivalent to the terms of the freeware versions, which also are
free nothing but personal use.

So I'd have no reservations. There's nothing illegal.

They are.

Try this link:

http://www.pgpi.org/products/pgp/ve...freeware/win32/

Open up that page and click any of the PGP v6.xxx version you may want. All freeware
and all legit. Instal the program, save its DLLS to another disk and then uninstall
if you don't need or want the original PGP program.

Other links within the site:

http://www.pgpi.org/products/pgp/versions/freeware/

The above lets you select which OS you prefer. PGP 6.xxx is not available for WinXP
only 8.0 is.

http://www.pgpi.org/products/tools/search/

The above is: PGP tools, shells and plugins

Have fun.
