Sounds interesting. Can you provide an address where the nymserv code can
be gotten hold of?

I have seen 'remops' used several times where I expected 'remop'. Is there
more than one operator of borked? Frell is another one where I see the
plural used. Any other remailers run by more than one operator?

It's all very good, and I appreciate the "From" headers, but it is
"partial". Why in the world would you put this type of From header in
the email messages? ...

I just get the from header. See what turns up on this post.

That's not the From: header. You mail program just displays ist so. I
expect the headers to be
From: Frool <NoReply@frool.com>
Sender: Borked Pseudo Whatever...
which is quite correct. Your mail program is also correct, as it states the
Sender: first and "on behalf of" the From: header second.

haven't tried borked for mail yet, but if you look at usenet message
<1081d688e9cc6ce1880debaa73b3c816@pseudo.borked.net> or this one
you'll see good from and reply-to headers.
(thanks again, borked admin/s!)

I get the feeling that except in the case of some of the Winston Smith
remailers, each remailer is run by one individual but I could be wrong. You
don't really know in some cases if it's singular or plural of male or
female.
In the cases of Frell and Bikikii, they refer to themselves as "we". Frell
might very well be a "we" but in Bikikii's case I think that's an Imperial
"we" rather than a "we" we. I dunno.

I think the WS remailers are run at least partly by different people,
but they do all know each other. Not that this matters because they're
not hiding the fact.
Your stats source should have a list of remailers that are known to be
operated by the same person or persons. Most of those currently listed
(aside from antani, starwars, and pboxmix) are remailer/nymserver
combinations like Panta's setup.
Bikikii's stats have some other interesting information in them too,
about encryption key requirements for the nym servers and such.
I wouldn't be surprised or bothered by finding out that a single
remailer had multiple operators either, as long as they weren't running
multiple remailers and sharing information. We don't really know any of
these people that well to begin with, and it's not much more of a
threat to have two or three unknowns than it is one. ;)
