Simplest Method for Sophisticated Nym Creation?
|
|
| Cyberiade.it Anonymous Remailer 2007-07-21, 1:16 am |
| It's been about ten years since I created a nym. The
only how-to file I've found on this is almost that old
and does not include instructions on using features I
fairly sure are currently available.
So...
1: Is there a current program that will create nyms
with all available options?
2: Is there a more current file on manually creating
nyms than the old "Mere Mortals" one?
Many thanks -- I've been way out of the loop on this
for quite a while!

JBN2 and QS both let you create nyms. Personally I find
JBN2 the easiest of the two with regard to nym creation.
I remember reading that Omnimix allows you to use nyms,
but have no idea if it has some easy way of creating them
too. Someone more knowledgable on that subject might know.

It does and I like its way of creating and maintaining nyms. For
sending mail and ng articles just take care that the "from:" line
contains the address of your nym. Every conversion step is shown,
which may also be of interest to those who try to learn handrolling
their nymserver data.

Omnimix is fine and dandy, but if like me, you're running a local
mailserver on the same machine, it pukes all over the place.

That's interesting.
I run OmniMix and Hamster on the same machine without any problem.
Outgoing mail is sent from the client app to OmniMix to Hamster to the
Internet. Beyond that Hamster obtains all aam messages from the
external newsserver. From that pool OmniMix then selects the relevant
mail.
Where did you get into trouble?
