configuring mixmaster

| I want to configure mixmaster so that I can add headers to the usenet post like
"Message-ID". Also, is there a way to change the default editor?

You can't change the Message-ID, the final remailer adds it. If you
add the Message-ID header yourself it will be discarded.

I actually meant to say that I want to add a "References" line. Also, this editor
seems to be "vi" and I'd like to change it to nano or pico.

Mixmaster obeys the $EDITOR environment variable.
And while in that editor, you can add any headers you want. ;-)
