Watch Thread in Thunderbird

| How do I "watch a thread" in thunderbird newsgroups?, so far I have
tried, while reading a message... Message> and at the bottom of the menu
the Watch / Ignore is not active, can't click it... what's up?

I just tried it for the first time, and here is what I got. I
clicked on your post and then clicked on Messages, then at the bottom
of that dropdown I clicked on watch. Results, the Icon under click
to display message threads changed to indicate that I am watching. I
am using the theme winstripe v 1.5 and the icon under display message
threads is 3 bar code stripes that are black when a msg is unread and
gray when read. These bars changed to what appears to be an eye,
(not sure of that) but it did change indicating that I am watching
the thread. After posting this reply I will then tell you what I
see. Good Luck

Update: The icon stayed the same when my reply came in. All seems
to be working as designed. You can also right click the post header
and label it in color for quick reference. Good Luck.

you have to be on the TOP of the thread before using that function --
in otherwords, you use the Watch Function on the very first posting.

This behaviour should be fixed to be from any message in 1.5 [is
currently in 1.5b2]
