Mozilla Browser - dial if not connected

Hello

I am using Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-5) linux,2.6.13
I googled for no avail.
I need mozilla firefox to check if my connection is on before seeking
a url and if need be dial up.

I just don't know enough about Linux to help you. My Linux machine is
on a broadband connection. Try this group, if you don't get other
answers here:

snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.mozilla.user.unix
