Mozilla Browser - default user programs in XP

I have XP Pro on my latop and desktop and four user accounts for my family.

Is there a way to have unique default programs if one user wants to use
a different browser or a different email program? As far a I can tell,
if I choose a program for me, it is the program for all accounts.

I run Firefox and that is fine for the other three accounts, but I am
slowly migrating to Thunderbird and my other family members are not
ready to make that change.

When I make Thunderbird my default mail program it changes the other
accounts too, which I do not want to do yet.

Is there a way to avoid this?
