Hi,

I just installed 1.5, no problem, although it seems to have made itself=20
a new profile.

Anyway, I can=92t seem to install additional dictionaries. If I drop the=
m=20
on the extension manager, it says they are installed fine, but they do=20
not appear in the spelling options.

Is this a bug?

H.

open up the speller, and click on the drop down list and they should
be listed there.

Well, installing a new profile isn't supposed to be on the agenda, it
should pick up the old one.

Open Profile Manager and see if you have mroe then one profile listed.

If you have a panel icon fo start TB, right click on it and select
properties. Add (space)-profilemanager to the command line. Depending on
where you isntalled TB, ot wourl look something liker this:

/usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/mozilla-thunderbird-bin -profilemanager

You can also do it from a terminal of course. Does Profile Manager show
two profiles? If so, try startng in the old one.

Lee.

You know, I've never actually installed another dictionary. You get to
the installation page a Mozdev through Download More from the languages
dropdown, but if you check here:

http://dictionaries.mozdev.org/installation.html

The directions clearly indicate to install them as extensions in the
extensions manager.

Just to test, I downloaded en-ca.xpi and installed it. It seemed to
install, but I'll have to restart TB to be sure.

No go, it didn't install. This machine still has 1.0.7, so its
evidently a longer standing problem.

Anyhow, my earlier test was 1.0.7 on Unbuntu. I just installed en-ca on
1.5, OSX, with no problem. I don't know, but its not a consistent
problem then.
