The instructions say to get into the extension manager and locate the
downloaded Signature file. But there is no "Open" button on
Thunderbird 1.5.0.2. How can I install Signature?

Go into Thunderbird
Tools-->Extensions
At the bottom of the Extension panel choose [Install]
it will then prompt you for the location of the file to install

Thanks. That worked just fine. I was misled by the button labels. MS
products would have a "browse" or "open" which lets you select the file
and an "Install" (i.e., "do it") button.
