Author FF crashes when I try to send this link

I'm using FF 1.5.0.4, XP SP2 computer, DSL connection. When I try to
use FF to send the link below, FF always crashes. "Firefox has encountered
a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Doesn't
happen at other websites.

I have another computer with the same setup and this doesn't happen
with that URL. Any ideas why?

This URL gives me the error message every time. The above URL only
occasionally:

Sorry to keep bombarding this tread with posts, but I think I've
localized the issue. The problem isn't with the URL's I've posted. It's
with the Search Bar with Firefox. Here is how I replicate the problem:

1) Open Firefox, type search words in the search bar. I have Google and
Yahoo Images search engines installed. If I choose one of them, that brings
up a listing of photos pertinent to my keywords.

2) I then click on a photo to open that link. When I try to send the URL,
that is when FF crashes.

If I visit the website directly, bypassing the Search engines, I don't
have any problems with FF crashing.

I tried everything I could to crash it and I can't. Have you got
javascript enabled?: Tools, Options, Content.

Also, try starting FF in safe mode. Close FF, and click on Start, Run
and enter exactly:

firefox.exe -safe-mode

what happens in safe mode?

Javascript is enabled.

I went to MSCONFIG, took the check marks out of everything,
rebooted, and launched FF again. Tried the same steps as mentioned in my
last post to replicate the issue, and again FF crashed.

Launched FF in safe mode per your instructions, tried the same
steps to replicate the issue, and again FF crashed.

Sigh.

OK, final step. Create a test profile. Close FF. Then click on
Start, Run and enter exactly:

firefox.exe -p

this will bring up the FF profile manager. Create a test profile in
that. Do not add anything, and make sure that javascript is turned
on. Now visit that page. What happens?

I created a new profile with FF, with Javascript enabled. I didn't
add any extensions or themes. I went to Yahoo.com, clicked the Images
button, typed in some keywords, clicked search. Results listed. I clicked
on one, which opened the web page. Right-clicked and selected Send Link.
FF crashed again. Same thing happened with Google Images.

Just to be clear, it's not one particular website causing this issue.
It's when I try to email links via the Google or Yahoo images engine.

I guess I'll just have to live with this. Thanks for trying, though.
Appreciate it.

Maybe a stupid question (I don use FF) but since FF is only a browser
with no mail appl "incorporated", what do you use for email? Do you
just click on link to launch a mail program, or do you copy and paste?
I'll assume you have a email program (TB, OE or whatever) even if you
usually may use webmail, don't that program get activated?

I have not seen that you told exactly how you try to send the link, so
that's why have to ask.

I'm using Outlook Express 6 SP2 for email and newsgroups. When I am
at the website, (using Firefox), I can send a link two ways: 1) Right-click
and select Send Link, or on the toolbar Click File, then Send Link. When
you do that, Outlook Express is automatically opened, and the link
automatically inserted. But for me, using the Yahoo and Google Image
engines, that caused Firefox to crash.

Update: my Dell computer has a program called PC Restore. You turn on
your computer, and at the Dell logo screen, press Control plus F11. From
there, you choose PC Restore, which formats your hard drive and returns it
to the stage when it left the factory. It's powered by Symantec Ghost. I
did this an hour ago. Upon finishing, I went to Windows Update to download
the huge amount of security patches. Rebooted and downloaded/installed
Firefox. Launched Firefox and tried to replicate this problem.
Unfortunately, I was successful. Nothing changed. So apparently the
problem is with this machine or it's programs, not something that I have
done.

I fixed this problem (and others) by doing a clean format of my hard
drive this morning. Previously I had used the Dell PC Restore program,
which returns your system to the default factory settings. Dell PC Restore
is convenient and easy to use, but it also re-installs a TON of junk
programs that I don't want or need. The worst was McAfee Internet Security.
My goodness, it slowed my system down to a crawl. Even after uninstalling
it, there were hundreds (if not thousands) of McAfee entries in the
registry. Dell also installs several Wild Tangent games, a company that
Spybot always marks as a threat. Cleaning out everything did the trick, and
now Firefox does not crash when I try to email a link at a website with
frames.
