Firefox Alt-D no longer works?

| Hi,
suddenly, my Alt-D doesn't work anymore on my Firefox 2.0. I know Ctrl-L
does the same thing, but i'm so used to Alt-D and it used to work.
I've tried reinstalling Firefox to no avail.
Is there a setting somewhere to re-enable it?
TIA.

Using FF 2.0.0.1, Alt-D and Ctrl-L move the cursor to the location box.
