Because of a problem I had, I uninstalled and re-installed FF 1.06
I also deleted all the files in my profile (after backing them up)
I assume that all the changes I made in "about:config" are now undone, or at
least set back to deault.
Are the settings for "about:config" stored in a specific file?
Could I copy that file, and have my "personal" setting back?

Thanks!

All your settings are stored in a file called prefs.js. If there was
an error somewhere in that file, and you copied the file back, then
the problem won't go away. Unless the problem was elsewhere, like a
bad extension.

Thanks, GWTC! Very helpful.

MR Tech's "about :About" extension will add an "About?" sub-menu to the
Help menu.

Now that is extremely helpful. Now I can take the "about :" pages out of
bookmarks list. Thanks.

I installed the extension in Seamonkey, but use an "About" folder on
Firefox's Personal Toolbar. I use about :plugins, about :config and
about :cache the most.
