Author link to page of pdf file

I want to put a link to a particular page of a pdf file on my
site. Actually, it's already up, and I understand that it
works for windoze but not for linux. Is there some way around
this. I tried at least three different readers and none of them
can get past the #.

The syntax is http://www.whatever.XXX/file.pdf/#page=20

Is there any way around this? I don't understand why this is
ok. daveA

This is a silly idea. If you just want to link to a particular page
then just save that page as a single .PDF file.

That page tag thing you're using simply won't work on most computers.

No, it will work on the vast majority of computers. It will work
with firefox and IE on the vast majority. It won't work on linux with any
browser. I don't know or care whose fault it is, it's a big ugly *bug*.

So there is no way. And that's ok? daveA
