| I just switched to thunderbird on XP and set up my hotmail account the
only problem is that now that I have I have lost the pane that displays
the accounts and the only way I can view my 2 e-mail and newsgroup
account is in safe mode. I have uninstalled all the extensions to try
to bring them back one at a time but no luck. My accounts are still
their but no view. Any Ideas?

try hitting F9

Try drag & drop:
Maximize tb, move your mouse to the left side of the screen, click and
drag it back into the tb window.
