Thunderbird 1.5 filters

| I am using Thunderbird in Windows 2000. I had experienced occasions when some messages wouldn't be
filtered, but the system would work if I used Tools > Run filters on folder. It seems to me that it
is happening to a greater percentage of messages.
Is there anything I can do to tighten it up?
Thanks

the only thing I can say is open the filters manager, and make sure
that they're ticked/checked
