Firsttimer: movie crashed Firefox

| Ok, never encountered this before:
http://www.bigfun.be/Movie/Police+Car_6.htm ... when opening that page with
a candid movie on it, Firefox 2.0.0.3 crashes!
I get this error (rough translation from Dutch):
Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library
The plug-in has executed a non-valid action. You are strongly advised to
restart Firefox.
I click okay on that error window and then FF crashes. First time ever,
other movies on other pages just play fine.

On my first attemp Seamonkey also crashed getting the same error. When
trying again through home page at http://www.bigfun.be/ ,and from there
viewing some video's was no problem. Then again i clicked on your link
and the video played without error , so i don't know what went wrong the
first time.

I've been using FF for a while now and never had a problem. Now all of a
sudden whenever I try to access Yahoo mail it crashes and the only way I
can get it to restart is to reboot. If I try to restart without the
reboot I get a message telling me that FF is still running but I can't
find it anywhere to shut it down. This only happens with Yahoo Mail and
if I try to restart the old session it crashes immediately

when you get that message, look in the task manager: ctrl+alt+del and
end FF there.
Or, you can look for the file parent.lock in the FF profile and delete
it.

It doesn't show in the task manager. As far as the task manager is
concerned it isn't running... Parent.lock is that some sort of parental
control file?

There is no file parent.lock in the FF profile

When you open FF a zero content file is created in the active profile
called "parent.lock." If FF crashes the file may not be removed. The
next time you start FF using that profile, FF "sees" the .lock file and
assumes that FF is running using that profile. Hence, the message. If
you check in Task Manager and no instance of firefox.exe is running,
check all your profiles and see if a .lock file exists. If so, delete
it (them).

So then this would be the file that FF uses to restore a previous
session when FF is not closed properly...
I am 98% sure that it is Yahoo Mail that is the problem. I managed to go
all day without a crash and whenever I needed to open Yahoo Mail I used
a different browswer. I am going to do the same today and then Monday I
will again attempt to access Yahoo Mail from FF. If it crashes then I
think I can safely say it is Yahoo that causes the crash.

No. The .LOCK file is a null-value placeholder that tells FF the the
profile is in use. Open FF then go look in your profile folder: the
file is zero bytes.
The session restore file is, I believe, sessionstore.js.
