| Hi guys
Sorry to bother you all with this, but I can't seem to find the answer
anywhere.
Where does firefox keep its cookie file?
I'm using Win 98SE

in a file called cookies.txt which is located within the FF
profile. To find the FF profile, you can read this:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit#profile
and if you're using windows, then you must read this first:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...iddenfiles.mspx

I'm not sure if its me, (it usually is) but there's something odd
afoot.
When I go into options -> privacy -> cookies, I'll see (in this case)
three cookies. I've located cookies.txt in the profile folder, yet
when I open it, it's blank, apart from the obligatory warning about
editing the file.
Am I a bit thick or something?

The only explanation I can think of is to question if you're looking in
the correct profile. If Firefox is running there should be a file
called "parent.lock" in the profile folder. That will tell you you're
looking in the correct folder.

just delete them in the cookie manager, close SM and try
again. Any different results?

Hi Ed
Thanks for your reply..yes the parent.lock file and the cookie file
are in the same profile. I've sussed it out now  The Clusty
cookies aren't there because they're all set to expire at the end of
the session. I did a bit of traveling and see that other cookies are
being written to the cookie file.
