Author HELP: NW65 SP4 nsearch/qfsearch coexistence !

Hello,

I updated 3 nw65 sp3 server with SP4a...

No problem during upgrade but after having restarted the servers, the
websearch console and the quickfinder console coexist on the 3 servers..

Neither quicfinder, neither websearch works! I can even not enter in the
quickfinder management page...

I suppose first thing would be to disable websearch? But how can I do this?

Thanks for help

Philippe

Websearch is loaded in the sys:\apache2\conf\httpd.conf if I remember
correctly.

Hello Patrick,

Even if you not load Apache, the consoles on the server are still there !!!!

Apache is loaded by ap2webup and admsrvup. Please look in the config
and see if it's there. I had to remove it from one of the httpd.conf
files and I believe it was the one in sys:\apache2

Hello Patrick,

I tested it but despite commenting out the Admsrvup startup and the
ap2webup in the autoexec.ncf, the netware search console and the
quickfinder console are still there...

I also try to comment tomcat etc... but the 2 consoles are still there
.... It seems to be like a parameter in the netware registry or something
like that...

No, it's not, really. I had the same thing on mine and I had to remove
it from the config.

In sys:\apache2\conf\httpd.conf put a # in front of the following line.

include "SYS:/NSearch/WEB-INF/NSSrchApache.conf"

reboot and see if you still have the screen.

Hello Patrick,

Thanks for help but if you look at the logger screen, the web search
console (NSRCHJW.NLM, NSRCH21.NLM,QFIND215.NLM ) and the quickfinder
console (QFJW22.NLM, QFREP22.NLM, QFIND22.NLM) are loaded well before
tomcat and apache loading, at the time of portal, sas, pki loading....
It doesn't seem to be started by the servlet system loading...

But I have no startup command in the autoexec.ncf... I continue to look
where it could be...

One piece of the puzzle :

if I comment out SEARCH ADD SYS:/NSearch , the web search console is not
started...

So if you have to go to someone, just forget its address... and you may
stay playing with your favorite toys ... or in front of your screen
searching what really switches on the search console...
