hello again

where did oyu switch the IP address? did you make the change to your
HTTPD.conf file too? what exact url are you trying?

try this one.

http://server_dns_or_ip/NetStorage/

needs to be case sensitive. these aliases are set in the xsrv.conf file.
see that all thses jive with your paths.

one of the errors in the apache logs looks like a folder missing or moved.

[Mon May 16 05:03:30 2005] [error] [client 10.0.0.200] File does not exist:
sys:/apache/htdocs/onenet/NetStorage

also you using nw6 or nw6.5?

Hi Jeff,

IP address was changed in the adminserv.conf, I have never made a change to
the HTTPD.CONF file, have never had to previously!

Have tried http://server/oneNet/NetStorage and the one below. Neither work.

The server is NW6 SBS SP5.

I have NetStorage working in the same configuration at another site, and had
none of these problems :-(

I have copied the XSRV.CONF from our working server to this one, to rule out
any alias problems.
Obviously though, it still doesn't work! AHHHHH!

Any more ideas? NetStorage was reinstalled yesterday too just incase...

Thanks
Alan

does the folder NetStorage appear anywhere on the server as a folder?

also. have you looked to see if there is a backup of the conf files prior
to doing the GW install?

as far as i can remember the GW install only adds a conf file and a
reference to the file in the http.conf. maybe an "include" statement.

when apache restarts do you see any errors other than the "cannot find
folder"?

for example. in my HTTPD.conf file at the end was appended with the
following:

##### Begin Novell GroupWise WebAccess configuration #####
include "SYS:apache2/conf/GWApache2.conf"
##### End Novell GroupWise WebAccess configuration #####

both netstorage and gw web mail use the novell webaccess login.

Hi,

The SYS:\Netstorage folder exists, with the xsrv.conf file...
The adminserv.conf has the line below appended to it after the NS install...

# Include XTier configuration file
Include sys:/netstorage/xsrv.conf

The NetStorage program is where it is supposed to be,
sys:\webapps\NetStorage (this is where the alias is looking)

I am really out of ideas now. Same error still...

- access_log

10.0.0.200 - - [16/May/2005:05:22:35 -0400] "GET /oneNet/NetStorage
HTTP/1.1" 404 292

- error_log

[Mon May 16 05:03:30 2005] [error] [client 10.0.0.200] File does not exist:
sys:/apache/htdocs/onenet/NetStorage

TIA
Alan
