Author URL error brings up iManager screen

Have a private network behind a Border manager firewall that delivers
HTTP proxy services. When a user type's in an incorrect URL instead of
giving them an error that the page can not be found it comes up with the
Border Manager server's iManager screen.

Any one have any idea what could be causing this
