Limit access to NetStorage
|
|
|
| Hello,
How can I prevent some accounts from accessing NetStorage? The reason I'm
asking is, we some common accounts that many employees know the password. If
one of the employees were to leave there is a concern that they could use
one of the common accounts to access NetStorage. So what I would like to do
is create a new group that will have access to the web services (NetStorage,
etc) that excludes these common accounts. Can I do that and if so how?
Thanks,
Lou

| Great Question Lou...
I agree and here is my issue -> average users have weak passwords. Power
users want access to NetStorage.
How can we provide NetStorage access only to specific users?

| I am wrestling with this issue, too. The only thing I've seen so far that
might be useful is to limit the IP address(es) from which users may log on.
There ought to be a better way; I just can't find it yet.

| one solution could be with bordermanager:
reverse-proxy NetStorage to public ip and force authentication
