Apache2.nlm and Aprlib.nlm memory usage

| Hello all,
I have been tracking down and resolving issues related to Apache for my
employer. I have noticed two ongoing events that I am hoping this forum
will be able to help me resolve, but first, the server is running 6.5 SP3
with the NSS and OS post SP3 updates.
I notice these two events when I log in to remote manager, open list
modules and click on the allocated memory associated with either
Apache2.nml or Aprlib.nlm. This area is the Memory Allocation Summary,
L!=P area just to keep everybody on track. Finally I click on Display
Memory Allocation Information by Size.
Under here I notice that apache2.nlm has generally 2-3 or sometime more
memory allocations that are 1+ MB in size and continually increase size for
the length of time that the server is on. Under Aprlib.nlm there is a
single memory allocation that is 13MB that also continues to grow. All
these allocations have what appears to be a variety of Apache configuration
and website code.
I do not know if this is an issue or if it is apart of the web server, but
in either case if somebody could assist in helping me explain these
allocations, I would be grateful.
Sincerely,
Matt Rigor
