just an update.....yes, we are using Acrobat 6.0.4!

thanks for your response(s). I will check the version that we are using (it is actually a different dept. who have Acrobat) and send you 2 example PDFs (1 that works, 1 that doesn't) and the original Word Document.

Oh, I forgot... if Novell is unaware of problems with Acrobat 6 PDFs in
the new quickfiner server, they will likely want an example PDF you're
having trouble with. Feel free to email me a PDF that breaks (hey, I'd
be happy to try indexing it on my server :-) to jkmichael at gmail dot
com if you'd like.
