I upgraded my web search server to SP4 (from nw65 sp2). This changed
nsearch to qfsearch. My question is this. It appears that everything
that was in sys:\nsearch now exists in the sys:\qfsearch folder.

Since sys:\nsearch is still taking up a large amount of space, can it
now be removed?

The installer upgrades it ,yes.

Slightly related... One of my sp4 servers now has

QuickFinder Server Console
AND
Netware Web Search Console

I'm guessing I can get rid of the second one, as my other servers just
have Quickfinder.

This server crashed during upgrade and I had to do a down server upgrade
to fix it, so perhaps that's why?

PROBABLY. A SP shouldnot upgrade NSearch to QF, but an upgrade will.

On my first server, the service pack upgraded it to QF, and nSearch is
no longer running. On this server both are running. I'll try
commenting it out of the startup if I can find it and see how things go.
I don't really use either of them on this box. I had loaded it a long
time ago just to play with it.
