HTTP 500 - Internal server error

| My server abended on 01/13/06 stating it had to dismount my web volume. I
restarted the server and now my web doesn't come up. I get the following
error HTTP 500 - Internal server error . My server is up, web volume
mounted, Enterprise Web server is up and running with no error. I have
checked and ports 80 and 81 are up and listening. I can't figure what is
wrong or how to further troubleshoot.
Any help would be appreciated.
Server - Netware 6.5 SP4
Apache
Netware Enterprise Web Server 6.05a

Is Tomcat running? What does Java -Show say? Have you run PKIDIAG to see

| Yes, Tomcat is running.
I ran PKIDIAG and it found 2 problems and fixed them.
Through my Netware Remote manger, Java has running
org.apache.tomcat.startup.main
com.dell.oma.registration.omawebserver
org.apache.tomcat.startup.main
Could an expired certificate cause this ?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes. If that is the case, you run TCKEYGEN and restart Tomcat after
fixing the cert.

| I'm reading a TID that tells me to test my LDAP by doing the following..
You will want to make sure that secure LDAP is working. An easy way to
test this is to open a browser and type in the url https://ipaddress of
server:636. Accept the security prompt and on the web page you will see
something like this: "0$x ?1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.20036". This means
that you have a secure ldap port
This didn't work. Could I have a problem with my LDAP ? I'm in the
process of trying to run TCKEYGEN.
I'm pretty new at this. I didn't set up the web server so I'm scrambling
to find things. Can you tell me where I would find what port was set up
for netscape to administrate the web server ?
Thank you,
Debra

Yes. If the cert has expired. Try UNLOAD NLDAP, LOAD NLDAP

| I'm trying to get to my web server administation so I can look at rights.
This is what I'm following from a TID...
Enterprise Configuration via a Browser
Administration of the web server continues from any netscape 3.x and
above web browser. Point the browser at the server by following these
steps:
1.Type in DNS name or IP address for the target NetWare server in the
browser's address field.
2.Type a colon ( followed by the port number chosen during
installation.
3.Press Enter.
For example, the configuration address might be
http://www.marketing.novell.com:27483 or http://121.121.10.166:27483.
The web server will respond with a request to authenticate the user.
Enter the admin username and password chosen during setup.
The server can now be configured using the netscape administration tools.
Any idea where I can find what port was configured ?
Thanks,
Debra

| Anders,
I finally called Novell and the problem was...I had a conflict on my
ports. I don't know how it happened since my web server has been running
flawlessly for 3 years. But once I commented the extra line out of
adminserv.conf, it worked fine. I'm back up and running. Thanks for all
your help and suggestions.
