Author Changing directory for new web site

I have a Netware 6.5 server running apache2 web server. I have a web site
that I am running right now. I have created a whole new web site. I have
renamed the old web site htdocs.old, and I have created a new folder called
htdocs and placed the new web site directories in there. I restarted the
web server and after doing so I typed in the address of the web site that I
am using and all it brings up is the folder structure and not the actual
web site. What do I have to do to direct this web site address to the
index.html of the new htdocs folder that I created? Thanks

Do you have an index.html in the root?

Yes I do, when I type in the address it shows all of the folders and htm
pages inside of htdocs, I don't know how to direct that web address to the
index.htm page. Thanks

Do you have this site set up as the main site or a virtual host?

Odd.. Do you have a directoryindex set? You can post httpd.conf if you
like.

How do I do that, I looked in the httpd.conf and I don't know what to do, I
don't know what change that I have to make. Could you let me know what
change I make? Thanks

Nevermind, I figured out what to do. I had to make a change to the
httpd.conf file DirectoryIndex, it was set to home.html and I needed to
change it to index.html and restart the web server. Thanks for the help.

OK. I recommend you make regular backups of httpd.conf so you can go back
if you screw up ;)
