removing quickfinder indexes which are accumulating

| i am implementing QF to keep the staff from using google desktop search
from crawling through the servers randomly. What i've noticed is that every
time a specific volume index gets regenerated, it's leaving a copy of the
previous dated/timed index. this starts to chew into the real estate. if i
want to regenerate these volumes weekly or every few days, what routine
should i be using to remove these prior index files? should the
regeneration process be removing these automatically? have i missed
something here, or do i need to create a cron job to remove them?

Just checked my server. I only have the current index and the one from
the day before. How many do you have?

| you seem to be right... i just ran several indexes in a row, and it only
hung onto yesterdays, but todays were always replaced with the more current
one. that's a relief so far. i'm certain i had 3 sitting in there a few
days ago, but maybe it was my imagination. i'll check it tomorrow and see...
