Apache2 and php5 - unable to see php pages

| I have a webdesigner that made a website with one software called joomla.
We have tested the web site under this software, because it creates pages in
php with mysql beynd it, and it work's fine.
With php4 we can see the pages, but cannot enter the administration area,
and with php5 we cannot even see the pages, it shows a blank page.
Could any give a hint about this problem.
