I made a discovery.
I original had the ip address (172.16.0.28) in the browser exception list. I added the name (server1.hps.k12.ok.us) to the exception list and it works. How ever I do not have server1 in the exception list and as you know it works.
Any explanation?

OK. Then:

" So please have them open their browser and go to the full dns
name. If they get the 500 error then have them press CNTL and the refresh
button on the browser (or CNTL F5) will do the same. I also want them to
take down their proxy server (even though they say they are bypassing it).
