mod_edir loses connections to remote servers?
|
|

| We have one NW65SP5 server servicing webpages for multiple remote NW
servers using mod_edir
Whenever a link or server goes down for awhile, the web server seems to
lose the connection and won't display the webpages anymore.
Restarting the webserver fixes the problem, but that is not a good
solution.. need more stable service. Any suggestions how to fix this?

never heard of this before. when the link comes back up, do all other
server comms start working correctly?
SP6 will be the first step because getting anyone to look at SP5 code
is not gong to happen.

update to mod_dir 1.0.12:
http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?mod_edir
there were code changes which may fix your issue.
Dont use 1.0.13 - I got feedback from other customers that aliases are not
working properly with .13.
