I have a NW6.5sp7 server which started life some time again, and at some
point the NetWare Web Search Server was set up

I "thought" this should have automatically been switched to the Quickfinder
Server some time back, however the server console has both a NetWare web
Search Console running, and a Quickfinder Server console running

I can't seem to find/access any admin pages for the old NetWare Web Search
Server, but I can access and manage the Quickfinder Server as expected.

I would like to purge the old NetWare Web Search stuff, or at least stop it
from loading in future

any suggestions on where I begin?

thanks
Simon

Look at the insludes in httpd.conf and yes, the old serach should have
been upgraded automatically and the old one removed by the install.

Below are all the includes from httpd.conf, but I fail to see the NSearch,
only qfsearch

OK. It must be loaded from tomcat then. Does sys:/nsearch/WEB-INF still
exist? If so move it to a local drive and restart tomcat.

Anders

yes it did.

I unloaded java, unloaded nsrchjw.nlm and nsrch21.nlm, renamed the
sys:NSearch folder and restarted tomcat4.

The NSearch console did not reappear, and the 2 nlms did not load.

many thanks
Simon

Good. Then it was just a question of the upgrade not nuking the old
dir.
