Macromedia is making a commitment to improve the licensing mechanism in
Flash Media Server 2 to fit the needs of all customers. However, we
understand that you need long term licenses to plan around. At or before th=
e
end of 90 day term, Macromedia will make available a perpetual license with
the same capacity as the Interim License, in addition to any other licenses
that may be offered.
So a perpetual license with 2,500 connections/25 Mbps is quaranteed at or
before the end or the 90 day term.
What about audio/video developers? Can we get a gaurantee that at least 150
connections/unlimited bw will be available as a perpetual license at or
before the end of 90 days? Without this, I will have nothing to present to
our board of directors until the licensing is finalized at or before the 90
day term.
