| Good morning list,
we're experiencing a problem.
We need to convert videos from various formats to flv in order to use
them with progressive download (no streaming involved).
We successfully used ffmepg for over a year on our linux servers.
Now we need to "create" a windows machine... we installed ffmpeg for
windows and... well... it doesn't work the way it should:
if you launch it by command line it works just fine (well, not really...
it creates wrong flv, but we think it's due to the lack of codecs on the
clean windows 2003 install)
if you launch it by Coldfusion EXEC command (launching a convert.bat
file which launches the ffmpeg) we can see the ffmpeg process
starting... then it goes to 0% cpu usage and NEVER terminates... if we
kill the process by force everything is fine... the flv is created and
everything goes on.
we tried using Mencoder. It doesn't create this never-terminate problem
but it doesn't convert the videos the way we want.
Any experience with ffmpeg on windows 2003 server ? Someone has an idea
of what happens ?
Thanks in advance!
