Admittedly firefox is one of the best html browsers out there, how ever as a
flash / fcs / Java developer it is a nightmare. It is allergic to right
click context menus, and you never know how it will respond to sizing
commands. Im I alone, does anyone else have these problems or is it just
poor codeing on my part?

I haven't had any issues with it in fact I find that ie lets you get away=
with a lot of things that it shouldn't. if you are looking for a particu=
lar fix you could try javascriptkit or google it and you will very quickl=
y find a solution.

I use Firefox a lot and I have not experimented any problem besides a
flash cursor in some flash player version... what problems are you
experimenting with resizing? do you mean full-window flash movie?

The only problems I've found are the dual context menus and the weird
full-screen code.

For the context menus, that's Firefox' fault. I don't know if Macromedia
filed a bug to Mozilla, but they (Macromedia) knows about it. Since Firefox
creates its own context menus vs. the OS, it misses the right click evnet on
Flash, and leave's it's own hanging about. Quite weird & frustrating.

As far as the full-screen, you just need like 2 lines of CSS to "make it
work".

As a UIComponent I cannot forcefeed css on the user, but I belelieve I fixed
most of the resizing issues, the point is the plugin does not mirror the
activex version so it seem the results are unpredictable.

I guess my real frustration is in the fact that in 2 years, I have never
been able to release an app the worked correctly in all browsers and
environments.. for that I blame macromedia as blaming myself is an exercise
in futility as my ex-wife has that job.

But the context issue goes back to day 1..

Don't get me wrong.. I adore firefox.. I only wish the mm and mozila
would have a closer relationship and mm would not release players that do
not mirror each other.

I see... actually this ia a generic skinning function the has to watch
Stage.. for example click the fullscreen button on the skin and resize the
browerser.. as the skin must control the internal components size and
position it has to know the size of the stage when running in fullscreen...

But yes.. I do agree with you as far as using proper css in your html.
