Jesse,

I've had great luck with most Logitech cameras on my iMac with the
exception of the cordless Logitech (big as a house and no focus). The
old Logitech Pro 4000 is solid and reliable, but it may be too big
for a Powerbook. Take a look at the Logitech Fusion. High end
notebook cam. It has a built-in mic, which is also helpful. They're a
bit pricey at $75 (that's the best price I could find on the Web.)

They have a less expensive one for portables for around $50, but
there have been complaints about its clamp not working too well.

Check out:

for the last word on Webcams for the mac.

You can also consider Apple's iSight good quality and expensive.

Weyert,

My iSight is Ok on my iMac, but I think it's too big for what Jesse
wants. However, I'd love to have an iBook with a built-in iSight like
they do on the new iMacs!
