| My question is OT since I'm not referring to FCS sound but sound in
general. I was wondering if it was possible to create a sound meter
for normal mp3 and swf sounds with embedded audio. It's purely eye
candy but if I do it I want it to display something authentic rather
than a small timeline animation randomly running up and down the
frames.
I'm assuming that the sound meter in FCS works because it's tied to the
microphone, but wanted to ask just in case.
Sincerely,
Simon

i think you should "embed" volume level on your sound stream (when
publishing it to flashcom)
I don't think there is a way to get mp3 "volume level" while playing stream
on clientside... so, well, i don't think it's possible.
