Does anyone know what might cause a .flv file not to play on a Linux
Box? I have one .flv that plays fine on a linux box, and one that
doesn't play at all. Have tested it across multiple servers and the
result is always the same works fine on windows server but not on linux.

Thanks,

-Chip

Chip,

This is a long shot, but linux servers are case sensitive and windows
are not. Are you sure you're using the right case w/ the linux box?

HTH,
Bill

Make sure you have the correct permissions on the file as well. If you
copied it or in some cases even moved the file while logged in as root
you can changed the ownership of the file and it's attributes such that
anyone trying to load them will not be able to.

Windows, well, you can copy FBI documents to windows and a monkey could
open them.

Turns out the MIME type wasn't registered. The server administrator
easily made the update. Works fine now.
