| I've run into strange development problems working on a LAN. Everything
from past experience to Brian's book says things should work in a
certain way, and on my LAN they don't. Then I pack everything off to my
server, and they work as they're supposed to. (Or vice versa.)
Here's one example. I developed a little module for a larger app that
loads Web pages using RSO's -- nothing new or terribly fancy. In the
development process, I created a little stand alone app that does
nothing but that and test it on my LAN. Works great. Then, I put the
same code into my app, and it doesn't work on the LAN. However, once I
put it on my server, it works great.
I'd be interested in what type of development environment the rest of
you use.
TIA,
Bill
