Download of binary files: bitmaps, MP3s

| Is it possible to send binary files via FlashComm? My experimentation and
scrutiny of the FlashComm documentation indicates that the answer is no.
It would seem that a combination of FlashComm/Cold Fusion/Back-end database
(MSSQL Server maybe) is going to be required to deliver bitmaps, audio, and
other binary files to a Flash client.
Am I on the right track?
TIA
Woody
