Hi Dan,
It all used to be posted at netscape but evaporated. A google search
turned this up:
http://www.croczilla.com/~alex/refe...javascript_ref/
I highly recommend David Flanagan's book: JavaScript the Definitive Guide:
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/jscript4/
I think he does an outstanding job describing the ins an outs of
JavaScript 1.5 which is what SSAS is. The reference section is excellent.
Cheers,
-Brian

Hi Dan,
Server-side ActionScript (SSAS) is only embedded in FlashCom to allow
you to script FlashCom objects like the server-side client and
application objects. It doesn't reach out to the server's operating
system so you can't do anything with it outside of FlashCom except use
Remoting to call an application server. For example in the current
version (1.5.2) you can't get directly at the server's file system or to
a printer attached to the server.
Yours truly,
-Brian

Hello all,

I'm fairly new to this list so excuse me if this has been asked and
answered. I currently have an install of FCS 1.5.2 running on a RH 9
box. My question is how does running FCS on Linux compare to running
on a Windows Server 2003 box?

Does 1 perform better than the other? Is one more reliable than the other?

Thanks for all help.

Brian,
I like the tone of your voice when you say 'current version'.

:-)
