I tried to use firewire devices for capturing with FCS but i see a big
problem: no audio and you are corstrained to the 720x560 resolution, that
is unusable for streaming purposes

Maybe an analog capture device allows to connect to digital cameras (or
video mixers) and capture at lower resolutions.

Does anybody use analog capture devices with FCS? Is possible with them to
capture at low resolution?

Can somebody tell me some affordable, low profile ones?

thank you in advance

it depends on the wdm driver provided... it's not something you can usually
know in advance.
We used both firewire (sony trv60 camera on windows pc) and analog->usb
converters... we have no problems (except for performance on usb devices).

there are several svideo->usb converters out there just search a while with
google... our one is a Pinnacle device i'm not too happy about it.
