Paid the ritual $30 to get export features and noticed that QT7 can
export to FLV.

Sincerely,
Simon

Simon,

That's good news. Does it generate metadata?

Thanks,
Bill

Same here, but I have the Flash Video exporter installed....is this
what you meant? Or did you mean that Quicktime had it built in?

Sean,

I tested it, andQT 7will convert a MOV file into a FLV file, but I did th=
e conversion right before I left town, and I won't be able to see whether=
it includes Metadata until later when I get back. Did anyone else test f=
or Metadata on FLV files created w/ QT7?

Yeah done it for a while and it injects one of the best sets of metadata out
of all the encoders - flvmdi obiously not included :-)

No, it's built right into QT7.

I don't think that is right - I don't see any mention of this on the
Apple site and there is a discussion here (http://
discussions.info.apple.com/webx?14-zbPphOEBRaZSH0iNlpIQEHzcNBtbZ/1X@public.gmane.org@.68ad8464/0)
that goes against that as well.

I took out the FLV exporter component from the /Library/Quicktime
folder and flv export was gone.

It is also not listed on the specs here (http://www.apple.com/
quicktime/pro/specs.html)
