| On2 Technologies Debuts Newest Line of Flash Video Encoders At Streaming Media East
CEO Doug McIntyre to Speak on Panel of Industry Thought Leaders Addressing 'The Future of
Open-Standard Internet Video'
New York, NY (May 16, 2005) - On2 Technologies, Inc. (Amex: ONT - News), today announced it will
debut its newest Flix(TM) line of Macromedia(TM) Flash(TM) video encoding products for digital media
designers and Flash developers during Streaming Media East 2005 this week in New York City. In its
booth #122, executives from On2 will demonstrate how designers of any skill level - from
professional digital media designers to everyday users - can quickly and easily edit, encode and
publish Flash video to the Internet.
Last month, the Company announced that Macromedia has licensed On2 video compression technology for
integration into its family of Flash products; ensuring hundreds of millions of Internet users will
experience the quality and feature-rich capabilities of On2 video technology. On2 is currently
working on integration of its video compression technology into the entire Flix product line which,
when completed later this summer, will enable Flash developers to encode and publish Flash video
with the stunning picture quality users have come to expect from On2's innovative new codec
technology.
On2 also announced today that Doug McIntyre, chairman, president and chief executive officer of On2
Technologies, will participate in a Streaming Media East 2005 panel discussion with other digital
media technology luminaries entitled, "MPEG-4 and H.264 - The Future of Open-Standard Internet
Video." Participants will discuss the technical and business issues surrounding these emerging
compression standards in an hour-long discussion on Wednesday, May 18th at 11:30 a.m.

On2's Video Compression Technologies at Streaming Media East
Executives from On2 will be on hand at Streaming Media East 2005 in New York City this week
demonstrating the newest additions to its family of video compression technologies, including:
* A video compression engine that enables users to add Flash video
encoding capabilities to their software and enables website visitors to
convert their video, audio and image files to Flash.
* A powerful Flash video encoder that enables users to edit, crop,
convert and post video to the web in minutes;
* On2's video Exporter offers professional quality FLV and SWF video
output from multiple video applications that support the use of
Quicktime plugins, including Discreet Media Cleaner, Canopus Pro Coder,
Quicktime Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Apple Final Cut.
