| Hi I'm about to start trying to figure out how to get going with FCS. I have
bought the book (o'reilly pfcs) which I am about too crack on with.
I just wondered if anyone could offer any gems of wisdom or reference to
speed/ease the learning cycle... (I am familiar with flash & AS)
Particularly:
- any good practical tutorials
- any other reference points or websites
- any common pitfalls
Muchos gracias,
Peter O'Brien

| Peter,
There are plenty of good tutorials on the MM site. I think that
Stefan has a good one for getting started, and then Brian has a lot
of good ones on his site as well (site referenced in his book--PFCS).
Also, you need to decide whether you want to use the components or
not. Things will go much faster using the components, but you'll
learn more "rolling your own." The app in Chapter 1 or Brian's book
is a good first app.
HTH,
Bill

| Thanks Bill, this all sounds like good advice.
