Hi list,

My problem comes from the fact that one NetStream which is paused
looses is buffer.
And that there is no way (IMO) to know when the Stream will exactly
play, since you activate NetStream.play method.

What I need actually, is a way to control precisely the moment of the
beginning of a video Stream.

The only solution is think about is to find a optimal time to set the
buffer.
So my question is :
Does someone ever found a ratio for an optimal bufferTime, that could
be calculated with the bandwidth of a client for example ?

But if someone could come with another solution, I'd be pleased to hear
it.

Thanks by advance.

Hi,

Have you tried decreasing or removing the buffer time when you are
paused, and then growing it once you have started playing. If you take
this approach you should be able to get a fast start, and then grow your
buffer while you play. This may help with the delay you are
experiencing after a pause.

Hi list,

My problem comes from the fact that one NetStream which is paused=20
looses is buffer.
And that there is no way (IMO) to know when the Stream will exactly=20
play, since you activate NetStream.play method.

What I need actually, is a way to control precisely the moment of the=20
beginning of a video Stream.

The only solution is think about is to find a optimal time to set the=20
buffer.
So my question is :
Does someone ever found a ratio for an optimal bufferTime, that could=20
be calculated with the bandwidth of a client for example ?

But if someone could come with another solution, I'd be pleased to hear=20
it.

Thanks by advance.
