Local live video through a capture board

| It actually doesn't display anything at all. I get a black bg in the =
app
I'm building only because the app's bg is black. I made a simple movie =
which
only contains the embedded video object and that bg is white. And when =
I
toggle from my web cam to the capture board, the last frame from the web =
cam
freezes in the window.=20
=20
I found a few instances where some had success changing the values in
setMode(); No such luck for me.
=20
The system I'm testing with is XP Pro; SP2. I did come across a few
articles re: the issues with SP2 so I uninstalled it and tried the app =
with
no luck. Again, this is through the board not firewire. I'm going to =
give
the firewire cam a shot later this afternoon just to see if FP will pick =
up
that signal. (It's not an option for my project but I just want to see =
the
signal from the video camera!!)

| AFAIK, you can't use any boards w/ flash, only webcams/DV cams
(sometimes) work. I know we have been waiting for some option to use
Osprey boards, but haven't heard of anything yet. Good luck, and let us
know if you get anything working!

| We've successfully used an osprey board with zero problems. We have also =
used a pinnacle board with great success. With that in mind I can't figure =
why you'd have such problems.. You may want to check the settings of the =
board itself to see what res it's capturing at. Also.. do other programs =
capture video from the boards correctly?

| FWIW, the Osprey boards should work with their older drivers, but there
may be some scaling problems. The newer drivers will not. This has
been fixed and will be available in the next version of the Flash
player. The problems with firewire capture are also fixed.
