Hi All!

Im about to start a project and Id jut like to ask advice.

It will be a Communications system to allow upto 4 users to login and=20
communicate using video, audio and text. it will also upto 8 spectators to=
=20
'watch' the conference.

I am expereinced with flash, actionscript 1/2 and recently remoting/amfphp=
=20
but my 1 and only comms app use the basic components on the stage and was=
=20
not impressive.

Can anyone tell me if my idea is possible?

What is my best method of authenication, should I use a Remoting login to=
=20
remmeber the users details and permisisons in a database or is this possibl=
e=20
with the Flashcomm login?

Would you recomend the programming Flash Communication Server book from=20
O'Reilly?

Oh yes. This book explains it all, I don't think anyone on this list
can recommend it highly enough. You'll be glad you did.

Sincerely,
Simon

Welcome Gavin

Yes, your idea is possible.
You could use Remoting with a database, or use Remote and Local Shared
Objects, depending on your specific requirements and level of security
you need. Definitely get the book; it will be indispensable!
