I have just published on my blog my first experimentation
with Flash8's convolution filter feature. It is very
interesting because is possible to define the complete
convolution matrix to design your particular filter.

Fabio,

You put the convolution filter to the movie clip containing the
video, no?

Yes Bill,
I hope MM will allow us to set the filter on camera object instead, to
filter first of real-time video compression. This would help
improve the video source and gain better final compression ratio.
